As the end of the nine-week school holidays approached, I knew I wanted to do something special. The holidays had been filled with fun, chaos, and countless memories, but before we dove back into school routines, I wanted to treat two of my besties and their children to a relaxing escape. Yamba, with its stunning beaches and laid-back vibe, was the perfect choice, and we were lucky enough to stay at the breathtaking Riverside Ranch, booked through Ocean Stays.
Our Home Away from Home – Riverside Ranch
Nestled on 50 acres of lush land, Riverside Ranch is a hidden gem that combines rustic charm with luxury. This stunning property has everything you need for a memorable holiday. The house itself is spacious and beautifully designed, with a fully equipped kitchen, cosy living areas, and plenty of room for the kids to play.
One of the highlights was the outdoor area, which features a gorgeous swimming pool, perfect for cooling off on warm summer days. We spent hours by the poolside while the kids splashed around, making the most of the incredible space.
Adding to the magic of the property were the adorable bunnies and chickens that the kids absolutely adored. They loved feeding and playing with the animals, making it feel like a real countryside retreat. The wide-open spaces meant they had plenty of room to run, explore, and simply enjoy being outdoors.
Exploring Yamba’s Beauty
While we could have easily spent all our time at the ranch, we made sure to get out and explore beautiful Yamba as well. One of our favourite outings was to Main Beach, where we enjoyed a slow, relaxing day soaking up the sun, swimming, and building sandcastles. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to ice creams from the kiosk, the perfect way to cool down after a beach day.
Another day, we took a leisurely walk into town to explore the local shops. We stopped by a charming bakery for a delicious treat and, of course, couldn’t resist getting another round of ice creams – because no holiday is complete without indulging in sweet treats!
The Perfect Holiday
This trip to Riverside Ranch was everything we needed and more. It was a chance to unwind, enjoy the beauty of nature, and spend quality time with our closest friends. The combination of luxurious accommodation, outdoor fun, and Yamba’s coastal charm made it an unforgettable experience.
